What are “Hotspots” and where are they?
In 2009 the (then) Dept of the Environment, Climate Change and Water (DECCW) identified coastal erosion ‘hotspots‘ as areas where five or more houses and/or a public road are located in a current (or immediate) coastal hazard area, as identified in a coastal hazard study.
CCPA-Wooli Inc has established links with similarly concerned community groups in most of these locations.
We are sharing information and lending support to each other. We are also looking into the benefits of tightening cooperation through cross memberships of our various steering committees.
