There are no houses in Wooli that could be labelled McMansions. From neat modern bungalows to modest low rise apartments to the occasional architect-designed beach house, Wooli is as unpretentious as it is beautiful.
The old section of Wooli village is home to some true-blue Aussie beach shacks that have seen several generations of holiday-makers through their doors. They have weathered over the years and taken on a sun-baked patina and quirky outline that gives them unique and authentic character.
Characters are also plentiful at the colourful annual Goanna Pulling carnival which draws many visitors to the village.
